ACADEMIC SUPPORT – Vice President:  Chuck Truett, 678-417-6410, chuck@kimchuck.com

 

____ Environmental Program – Chair, Chuck Truett, 678-417-6410, chuck@kimchuck.com.  Sponsor an Earth Day Celebration to promote a healthy environmental awareness.  Will introduce a year-round recycling/conservation program. 

 

____ Legislation – Chair:  Arlene Meyer, 770-346-7517, meyerfamilybe@yahoo.com.

Committee monitors proposed and pending legislation and distributes information to school and parents. 

 

____ Reflections – Chair: Sue Mullins, 770-740-8883, RiverTrailReflections@gmail.com . Oversees the annual National PTA Reflections program, which encourages students to explore the talents by competing in Literature, Musical Composition, Photography, Dance, and Visual Arts.

 

____ Technology Fair – Chair: Manju Venugopal, 770-813-1894, mvenugopal30097@yahoo.com.  Committee plans and organizes the annual Technology Fair.

____ Book Fair – Chair: Cathy Karell, 770 623-8326, cathykerell@hotmail.com.  Committee assists with the Book Fair by primarily obtaining and scheduling volunteers to work the fair.

 

____ Building/Campus Beautification – Chair:  Jacqui Hopkinson, 678-584-5527, j2hoppie@comcast.net.  Oversees landscape work and beautification of the building/ campus, in addition to “Dig In Days” which take place two times a year. 

 

____ Media Center – Chair: Cathy Karell, 770-623-8326, cathykarell@hotmail.com.  Volunteers work in the Media Center.  
 

____ Mini-Grants – Chair:  Sue Malloy, 678-474-4796, malloy-e-s@msn.com. Committee reviews and approves teacher requests for educational enrichment funds.  Committee meets approximately 2 times a year. 

 

____ Picture Day – Chair: Jacky Yin, 770-813-9813, jackyyin@comcast.net.  Volunteers assist on school picture days.

 

____ Staff Appreciation – Co-Chairs: Chris Ciaciura, 678-867-0578, cciaciura@aol.com, Gail McLaughlin, 770-232-7302, gail.mclaughlin@comcast.net, and Meera Buckman, 770-664-5419, meerabuckman@comcastnet.   Plans staff luncheons, Staff Appreciation Week in the spring, and occasional treats for the staff.

____ PTA Publicity– Chair:  Diane Grecco, dgrecco@comcast.net.  Committee members help photograph and deliver news of school, PTA, faculty, and student achievements/activities to the local media.

____ Directory – Chair: Chi Kindland, chiachyan30097@gmail.com .  Committee assists with distribution of a school directory. 

 

____ Hospitality/Newcomers – Chair: Ronda Harris, 770-813-9649, harris.family@comcast.net.  Committee provides refreshments at designated school functions and organizes a coffee for newcomers in the Fall and Spring. 

 

____ Cultural Events – Eleanor Brwon, eleanorcbr@aol.com .  Hosts events and activities for students and their families to experience and learn about cultures other then their own. 

 

____  Parent Education– Chair:  Kathleen Sable, 770-475-4690, krsable@bellsouth.net.  Sponsors parenting workshops that focus on providing parents with practical advice for parenting teens in today’s world.  Volunteers serve as facilitators.

 

____ WolfPack Nights – Namrita Sharma, 678-417-0725, supriboo@yahoo.com.  Sponsors restaurant nights that are held outside of school to promote a strong sense of community among families, friends, and local businesses.

____ Membership – Chair: Ronda Harris, 770-813-9649, joinpta@comcast.net.  Manages the PTA membership drive and the membership list. Volunteers assist with membership collection. 

 

____ Incentives – Chair: Deborah Fulgham, 678-297-0051, 4inga@comcast.net.  Manages and publicizes programs that make money for the PTA and school, such as Box Tops, Kroger and Publix scan cards and DirecTV.

 

____ School Store – Co-Chairs: Joanna Shook, 678-566-0599, joannashook@yahoo.com and Caroline Reynolds, 770-752-1824, atlantareynolds@yahoo.com.  Manages the daily-operated school store.  Volunteers work in the store.

 

____ Spirit Wear – Chair: Amy Ross, 770-622-5918, rossclan@bellsouth.net.  Assists with the promotion of school spirit by selling spirit wear. 

 

____ Yearbook Sales – Madeliln Rivera, 770-622-6554, rivmadelin@hotmail.com . Committee assists with promotion and sale of the yearbook for the school.  Distributes yearbooks at the end of school.

____ Health & Safety – Chair:  Amy Price, 678-584-0442, abprice@bellsouth.net.  Committee assists with Scoliosis Screening of 6th and 8th grade students in February.  Could organize additional events throughout the year.

 

____ Pack ‘Em In Dance – Co-Chairs: Jeannine Green, 770-814-2899, jeanninegreen@comcast.net, and Heather Daklouche, 678-935-7281, dakloucheh@comcast.net.  Committee organizes and chaperones school wide dance held in early September. 

 

____ Red Ribbon Week –Chair:  Cindy Dunn, 678-584-5412, dunn3r@yahoo.com,.  Organizes a week in October of activities to emphasize the importance of being drug-free.
