The PTA Health & Safety Committee would like to help get our kids (and us!) moving. Active kids are happier, healthier and more likely to make positive life choices. There are many great outdoor choices this spring within the metro Atlanta area and throughout the state of Georgia. Sign up for the first ever city of Johns Creek "Go Green-Be Green" 5k Fun/Run on Saturday, March 14 at 8 a.m. starting at Lifetime Fitness. Or get “wild” and participate in the ING Publix Wild Run 5k on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 9:30 am at Zoo Atlanta. Also, there are many beautiful public parks and hiking trails in Georgia that provide an opportunity for fitness along with great family time.
