PTA Wants You!
The PTA is currently forming a Nominating Committee to work on the slate of officers for the PTA Executive Board for the 2012-2013 school year. Nominating Committee members are only committed to attend a few meetings and make a few phone calls. The job is short-lived, starting in mid-February and ending in April. Serving on this committee is a great way to volunteer your time and learn more about the PTA Board and its committees without devoting a lot of time. If you are interested in volunteering to serve on this committee, please contact Meg Schechter at (678) 472-1856 or at schechters@comcast.net. Thank you very much!
Harlem Renaissance
In conjunction with African-American History month, Art Support, sponsored by RTMS PTA, is pleased to present the Teacher's Discovery Traveling Exhibit featuring the artists of the Harlem Renaissance. This was a pivotal time in American history when African-Americans were encouraged to embrace their culture and identity. The students and staff will enjoy the spectacular reproductions during the week of February 6th - 10th.
